Oswego Public Library seeks candidates for the 2 open positions of Library Clerk. [click on Job Openings for more information -- application is here]

Part time Library Clerk for 24 hours and Library Clerk Full time for 35 hours.  The individual in each position is responsible for helping patrons with the use of computers, assisting the Children’s Program Coordinator in conducting programs, answering phones, registering patrons for library services, sorting materials, preparing materials for processing, straightening and organizing, making photocopies and assisting with data entry.  Candidates must demonstrate computer proficiency, provide excellent customer service and be adept at working with a wide variety of patrons and skills. 

Minimum qualifications:

Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and 6 months experience working in a library or office setting.  Documented Volunteer work may be accepted towards meeting paid library/office experience.

Salary range depending on experience ($12.05-$12.25)
